The University of Arizona-Tucson / Banner University Medicine invites applications to serve as Faculty of Transplant Hepatology . This is a prestigious opportunity to help build and shape the future of a rapidly expanding and academically vibrant abdominal transplant program at a nationally recognized academic medical center.

Faculty of Transplant Hepatology will engage in a growing team of hepatologists committed to clinical excellence, academic collaboration, and innovation in liver disease management and transplantation. Faculty will be eligible for leadership opportunities commensurate with goals and experience, working in close partnership with renowned transplant surgeons, transplant anesthesiologists, intensivists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.

This is a transformative moment in Tucson's transplant landscape. The University of Arizona is advancing into robotic organ transplantation , launching a living donor liver transplant program , and initiating auto-islet transplantation , placing our program at the cutting edge of modern liver care.

Ideal candidates will bring :

Board certification in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology

Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary liver transplant care

A strong commitment to clinical program building, academic scholarships, and mentorship

Interest or experience in living donor transplantation, advanced liver therapies, and clinical trials is highly desirable
