ABOUT THE ROLE
CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Construction Lending Supervisor to manage our Construction Department. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office. The Construction Lending Supervisor will oversee the construction department as well as work closely with various departments in a visible role to drive cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include enhancing reporting, optimizing business processes, and contributing valuable insights to improve strategies, manage risk, and maximize profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for construction-to-permanent mortgage loans from the date of closing, through the building period to final funding, modification and insuring of the loan
- Facilitate construction home loan projects in various stages of completion by establishing deadlines and follow-up
- Train and review staff in all aspects of the construction department and activities
- Evaluate appraisals, title commitments, state & local requirements, and loan terms to establish contractor conditions lists for draws and final funding
- Review final survey to validate all improvements, easements and set-back requirements meet property CC&R's and investor guidelines
- Communicate with builders, contractors, loan officers, and borrowers on progress of construction including daily issue resolution with internal and external teams
- Review conditions for relevance & accuracy, and communicate results along with corrective actions
- Evaluate draw requests for budget issues and process draws for improvements and vendor services
- Monitor construction interest overrun and rate expirations
- Order and approve loan modifications, coordinate signings and have agreements recorded
- Quality review of loan documents and submit to FHA, VA and USDA for insuring purposes and the end investor
