Salary Range : $90,000 - $130,000

NBS has standard office hours of Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. PST with the option to work a Compressed Work Week (9 / 80) schedule.

Summary :

NBS is currently seeking a senior-level consultant in the cost of service consulting practice. This practice provides financial consulting services to public agencies related to user fees, regulatory fees, cost allocation plans, and indirect cost rate analyses. While the position’s focus is desired in these specific consulting services, professionals with additional experience in complimentary services are encouraged to apply.

A senior consultant in this practice will provide professional consulting services to public sector clients with core responsibilities including :

• Project management of consulting engagements from start to finish
• Oversight of project completion to include lead interaction with client agencies, direction of consulting work products, delegation of project tasks to assigned consulting staff, facilitation of onsite events with agency staff, presentation in public meetings, and quality control / assurance
• Autonomous production of analytical work products, which includes financial models and related documentation.
• Participation in various business development activities, which include interviews with public agencies, written proposals, presentations, and occasional attendance at conferences for professional associations.
• Active participation in training junior consulting staff

The senior consultant will report to NBS’ Director of Financial Consulting. NBS has offices in Temecula and San Francisco, California. Opportunities also exist for a remote work location. The ability to travel flexibly and frequently throughout California is a requirement for this position.
