8 East is a 16 bed Med / Surg unit. Our nurses have developed a strong work culture of kindness, great teamwork, acceptance, and fostering education whenever we can! The population we serve is a wide variety of diagnoses and clinical pathways including : AKI, ETOH Withdrawal, AMS / Falls, Sepsis, DKA, & surgical patients (GI, GU, OB-GYN, Basic Ortho and Neuro, Podiatry) and that is only scratching the surface. This is a floor filled with many learning opportunities and a great way to start your nursing career!
