Overview

The Marketing Manager – Senior Living is responsible for leading marketing strategy and execution across Experience Senior Living (ESL), a NexCore-owned brand. This role plays a critical part in building brand consistency, increasing visibility in competitive markets, and ensuring the success of new community launches within both established and emerging regions.

Serving as the primary marketing liaison for ESL, this role partners closely with community teams, senior leadership, and NexCore’s corporate marketing function to manage branded assets, oversee digital performance, and implement integrated campaigns. The Marketing Manager also plays a hands-on role in new market development—supporting onsite teams and guiding pre- and post-opening marketing initiatives to drive occupancy growth.

This role blends strategic planning with operational marketing oversight and requires a collaborative, adaptable professional with strong experience in senior living, healthcare, or multi-location marketing environments.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Campaign Development

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing plans that support business objectives, drive lead generation, and enhance brand visibility
  • Translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies across channels including digital, print, and experiential

Brand Management

  • Ensure consistent application of brand standards across all materials and platforms
  • Manage and evolve visual and messaging guidelines to reflect the brand’s positioning and voice
  • Digital Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns including email, SEO / SEM, display, and social media
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversions, and cost-per-lead to drive continuous improvement
  • Content & Creative Oversight

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to produce marketing content such as brochures, web pages, social posts, videos, and presentations
  • Oversee creative development and ensure alignment with strategic messaging and audience needs
  • Marketing Operations & Project Management

  • Own the marketing calendar and manage multiple simultaneous campaigns and projects from concept through execution
  • Coordinate internal resources, vendors, and agency partners to ensure timely and on-budget delivery
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the key marketing contact for other departments including sales, product, development, and executive leadership
  • Align marketing efforts with sales enablement tools, customer engagement strategies, and business development priorities
  • New Market Development

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for new community openings, ensuring alignment with launch timelines and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to generate market excitement and drive pre-opening interest
  • Create branded campaigns that align with ESL’s mission to disrupt the experience of aging and position each community for long-term success
  • Travel to each community quarterly or biannually to assess local marketing execution, provide on-the-ground support, and conduct staff training
  • Budgeting & Performance Reporting

  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI
  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance to stakeholders, identifying insights and opportunities for optimization
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct market and audience research to inform campaign strategies
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging channels or tactics
  • Vendor & Partner Management

  • Source and manage external agencies, consultants, and creative partners as needed
  • Negotiate contracts and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high-quality output
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Stay up to date on marketing trends, tools, and technologies
  • Propose and implement new initiatives to improve campaign performance, operational efficiency, or customer experienceest practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Requirements

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of proven experience in marketing management, with a strong understanding of brand standards, SEO, and digital marketing.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • High level of proficiency in marketing technologies and tools for creating, managing, and evaluating campaigns.
  • Accountabilities & KPIs

    Ensure consistent brand execution across all communities and marketing channels.

  • 100% compliance with brand standards across all properties and materials
  • Approve 100% of branded content, collateral, and merchandise prior to use
  • Complete quarterly brand audits to ensure alignment across five ESL brands and new developments
  • Deliver best-in-class marketing support for new community openings.

  • Launch 100% of new community marketing plans at least 90 days pre-opening
  • Achieve ≥75% of inquiry-to-tour conversion goals within the first 90 days post-launch
  • Provide onsite marketing support and training at all new openings, with follow-up reports delivered within 5 business days
  • Develop and execute pre-opening campaigns that generate 500+ leads or exceed pre-defined awareness benchmarks per market
  • Drive digital visibility, lead generation, and campaign performance.

  • Increase organic traffic to ESL web properties by 20% YoY
  • Improve average website conversion rate by 15% within 12 months
  • Grow qualified lead volume by 25% YoY
  • Decrease cost-per-acquisition (CPA) by 15% through optimized targeting and channel mix
  • Deliver monthly digital performance dashboards with actionable insights
  • Optimize marketing operations and internal collaboration.

  • Reduce average marketing request turnaround time by 25% within 12 months
  • Maintain 95%+ on-time delivery rate for all marketing projects and community requests
  • Achieve stakeholder satisfaction rating of 4.5 / 5 or higher for support, responsiveness, and execution
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.

  • Maintain budget accuracy within ±5% of approved quarterly spend
  • Reallocate underperforming media spend within 30 days based on CRM or campaign insights
  • Implement 3+ cost-saving initiatives or process improvements within the first year
  • Support field-level readiness and ongoing community success.

  • Travel to each community at least 1–2 times per year for marketing alignment and performance reviews
  • Distribute quarterly marketing toolkits or template packs to enhance local execution
  • Provide post-visit reports with action items and measurable follow-up steps for each community visited within 5 business days

    Benefits

    Compensation : $110,000-$130,000 a year
