Role
"The idea that you now have a real virtual teammate, that you can assign work to, that you can make them do increasingly advanced things - and issue many requests in parallel - this is true task delegation."
Most agents today are for coding, but 99% of the world aren’t engineers. At SellScale, we’re building AI Agents for non‑technical people, starting with the sales org. Our initial version of Selix includes three agents : Selix Worker (to complete outbound campaigns), Selix Supervisor (to help manage the worker), and Selix Secretary (to update CRM, set meetings, and more).
As we grow, we’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who is back‑end leaning . This position will help lay the backend / infrastructure / integrations for scaling Selix. You’ll be hopping between classic SaaS integration problems, user‑facing requests, and AI agent infrastructure.
This position is targeting a minimum 1% equity minimum grant.
Requirements
2‑5 years work experience – you’re familiar in a production capacity and have worked on infrastructure ready to scale.
Production experience in our tech stack – able to ship across the stack, not just backend :
Front‑end : React / Typescript
Back‑end : Python (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, or Django)
Database : SQL experience (e.g., Postgres)
Early stage ready – interest to join a startup as one of the first N employees as a founding engineer.
Why someone may be interested
💡 Instead of being stuck on SaaS 1.0 apps, you’ll be working on Agentic AI
💡 You’ll be redefining the future of work in a $bn industry (enterprise sales spend)
💡 Fast – instead of being stuck at a slow company, you’ll be working with a small, highly technical team
Skills
Know prompting
Know SQL / Python well
Have a basic understanding of Frontend, good English, and interest in AI
Application process
Given this is a founding role, there will be a comprehensive process spanning ~7‑10 fastest.
Intro call – get to know Selix & the SellScale team.
Take home – Build a full stack agentic app
Technical – Pair‑program on your deliverable, back‑end leaning questions
Product & pace – Walk through the non‑tech side of SellScale – filled with prototyping, WOZing, prompting, and more.
About SellScale
SellScale is building the first agentic sales org.
Background : At a business, you’re either building the product or selling it. Sales is the most expensive department – more than engineering, HR, marketing, and more, in large companies. (We wrote an article about it here!)
Problem : As businesses grow larger, their sales spend grows disproportionately. Why? Sales—especially outbound—is still human‑driven : it’s subjective, hard to measure, and doesn’t scale like code. This is exactly the kind of problem agents are built to solve.
Opportunity : With the advent of recent tech like agentic AI, large language models, vector DBs, and more – future sales is human x machine. Our agent, Selix, has already seen a lot of success.
Timing : Right now, we are in the dot‑com boom of AI Agents. The agents we build help solve a businesses’s #1 problem : how to grow revenue. We use chained LLM thinking and start‑of‑the‑art GTM tools to help companies grow.
