Lead UX Designer

Location : NJ. Hybrid but remote also fine for strong candidate

Duration : 12+ Months

Key Capabilities

  • Effectively present and defend design rationale based on the brand, business needs, user goals, and usability, rather than personal opinion
  • Strong understanding of interface design principles; navigation and architecture; and typography, color, and layout principles
  • Experience designing for AI-powered applications, including conversational interfaces, data visualization, and algorithmic decision-making systems
  • Proficiency in design system creation and maintenance, including component libraries, design tokens, and documentation standards
  • Knowledge of DesignOps methodologies, team scaling practices, and design process optimization
  • Familiarity with standards-compliant web design and the capabilities and constraints provided by CSS, JavaScript libraries, mobile app frameworks, etc.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles
  • Experience with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.), vibe coding tools in Figma, MagicPath, Lovable, etc and ability to evaluate and implement new tools
  • Collaborate with technical team members and mentor more junior colleagues
  • Speak and write well, play well with others, and engage with senior-level clients
  • Experience in consulting and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Willingness to travel to client locations and collaborate with distributed delivery teams
  • Strategic thinking ability to align design initiatives with business objectives and technology roadmaps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading design for enterprise software, B2B applications, or complex data-driven interfaces
  • Background in service design or experience design for multi-touchpoint customer journeys
  • Knowledge of research methodologies including quantitative UX research and analytics interpretation
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and design integration in DevOps workflows
  • Understanding of product management principles and go-to-market strategies
  • Certification or formal training in design leadership, design thinking, or related methodologies
  • Education

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in a design discipline, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, or relevant experience. Continuous learning mindset with staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving design practices
