Job descriptionThis role offers the opportunity to manage a highly skilled team that provides complex cardiac and telemetry care while ensuring safe, evidence-based nursing practice. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in cardiac nursing leadership, a collaborative management style, and a proven ability to drive operational efficiency and quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide 24-hour administrative and clinical oversight of the cardiac / med-surg unit. Lead initiatives to improve patient safety, satisfaction, and quality performance metrics. Develop and manage staffing plans, budgets, and departmental goals. Support interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure seamless transitions across the continuum of care. Partner with physicians and clinical teams to strengthen service excellence and team engagement. Implement evidence-based practices and participate in hospital-wide performance improvement activities. Mentor nursing leaders and promote professional development among team members. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Current RN license in the State of Florida or Compact State Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Management (Master’s preferred) Minimum 5 years of recent acute care nursing leadership experience BLS certification within 30 days of hire Preferred : Advanced certifications such as PCCN, CMSRN, or NE-BC Experience managing both cardiac and medical-surgical patient populations Proven success in driving unit-based quality and financial outcomes Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate : $50.50 – $60.10 / hour (commensurate with experience) Relocation Assistance : Case by case Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage with telehealth options 401(k) Plan with 100% employer match from 3%–9%, based on years of service Employee Stock Purchase Plan – 10% discount on company stock Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Family Leave Tuition Reimbursement : up to $5,250 / year + student loan repayment support Employee Assistance Program (EAP) : counseling, legal, and financial services Additional Perks : accident and critical illness coverage, life and disability insurance, fertility / adoption benefits, and pet insurance Career Growth : leadership training, certification reimbursement, and internal advancement opportunities Ideal Candidate This position is ideal for a cardiac or medical-surgical nurse leader who thrives on improving systems of care and empowering nursing teams.
