Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN in California with a CA RN license, ACLS, BLS, and expertise in sedating and circulating.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 suites
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, 8-hour shifts, with call required
  • On-call is required every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM, with a 30-minute response time
  • Average caseload is 6 cases per day including EP and peripheral procedures
  • Unit uses Cerner EMR
  • Minimal department-specific orientation; ability to start with minimal training expected
  • Responsibilities include sedating and circulating cases for various Cath Lab and IR procedures
  • Scrubs are provided for staff
  • On-call frequency is approximately 10-15 times per month, with call beginning at 3 : 30 PM and ending at 7 : 00 AM
  • Holiday coverage required for one holiday during the assignment
  • Returning candidates must not have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year
  • Testing on sterile technique and dysrhythmia may be required per region

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • COVID vaccination required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience
  • Experience sedating and circulating in the Cath Lab is required; RN does not scrub
  • Must submit a copy of driver's license for consideration
  • Fire Safety Card for L.A. required if applicable
  • Two professional references required, including one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
