Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN in California with a CA RN license, ACLS, BLS, and expertise in sedating and circulating.

Responsibilities

Position is in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab with 2 suites

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, 8-hour shifts, with call required

On-call is required every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM, with a 30-minute response time

Average caseload is 6 cases per day including EP and peripheral procedures

Unit uses Cerner EMR

Minimal department-specific orientation; ability to start with minimal training expected

Responsibilities include sedating and circulating cases for various Cath Lab and IR procedures

Scrubs are provided for staff

On-call frequency is approximately 10-15 times per month, with call beginning at 3 : 30 PM and ending at 7 : 00 AM

Holiday coverage required for one holiday during the assignment

Returning candidates must not have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year

Testing on sterile technique and dysrhythmia may be required per region

Requirements

Active CA RN license required at time of consideration

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

COVID vaccination required

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience

Experience sedating and circulating in the Cath Lab is required; RN does not scrub

Must submit a copy of driver's license for consideration

Fire Safety Card for L.A. required if applicable

Two professional references required, including one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years
