Ambulatory Operations Administrator
The Ambulatory Operations Administrator for the Cancer Institute is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the day-to-day operations of assigned areas, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. This role works closely with leadership to execute strategic objectives, manage staffing, and ensure operational performance standards are met. The administrator will also play a key role in financial oversight, including managing accounts receivable and payroll, as well as championing process improvements and policy development to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key responsibilities include overseeing and managing day-to-day operations within the Cancer Institute, reviewing staffing schedules and operational needs, managing accounts receivable and payable functions, approving and processing payroll, collaborating with other departments, developing and managing operational dashboards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably in oncology or related fields, a proven track record of managing and improving ambulatory or clinical operations, strong financial management skills, experience with staff performance management, in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Additionally, candidates must hold either an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or a Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy (RTT). Skills and competencies include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to think critically and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment, strong leadership and team-building abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools, and healthcare management software.
