Job description

Summary

Perform basic specialized visual fields service and patient care tasks under the strict supervision of a physician.

Experience

Prefer one year of experience in a healthcare facility.

Education

High School Diploma or GED.

Competencies / Skills Required

Detail-oriented
Patient / Customer Service Oriented
Effective Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Multi-tasking abilities
Basic Computer Skills (electronic Health Record experience preferred)
Dependable
Flexible
Ability to travel to multiple offices if needed
Technical skills training background helpful

Essential Functions

Performs perimetry testing for multiple physician requests (Goldman and automated visual fields).

Maintains and calibrates visual field instruments.

Skilled in keyboard usage, data entry, and electronic health records.

Physical Demands

Lifting up to 20 pounds without assistance.

Assist in transporting immobile or less mobile patients into exam chairs.

Move in and out of multiple exam rooms for up to 8 hours per day.

Adjust seating to utilize equipment at patient’s eye level.
