Summary

Perform basic specialized visual fields service and patient care tasks under the strict supervision of a physician.

Experience

Prefer one year of experience in a healthcare facility.

Education

High School Diploma or GED.

Competencies / Skills Required

  • Effective Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Multi-tasking abilities
  • Basic Computer Skills (electronic Health Record experience preferred)
  • Dependable
  • Flexible
  • Ability to travel to multiple offices if needed
  • Technical skills training background helpful

Essential Functions

  • Performs perimetry testing for multiple physician requests (Goldman and automated visual fields).
  • Maintains and calibrates visual field instruments.
  • Skilled in keyboard usage, data entry, and electronic health records.

    • Physical Demands

  • Lifting up to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Assist in transporting immobile or less mobile patients into exam chairs.
  • Move in and out of multiple exam rooms for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Adjust seating to utilize equipment at patient’s eye level.
