Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults Patient Volume / Census : ~15 / day (low volume, solo provider) Admissions : No Rounding : Not Included Phone Consults : Not Specified Case Mix : ~60% Hematology / 40% Oncology Facility Type : Acute Care Hospital No. of Beds in Department : Not Specified Trauma Level : Not Specified EMR System : Meditech Office Equipment Available : Not Specified Specialty Backup Available : APP support; 3 physicians at Hazard Support Staff Available : APPs Reason for Coverage : Supplemental / ongoing coverage gap (3 days / week need) Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Not Specified Credentialing Timeline : Approximately 60 days Rate : $TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Licenses : KY state license / Willing to obtain Board : Board Certified in Hematology / Oncology DEA : Required Certifications : Not Specified Years of Experience Required : Not Specified Charting Experience : Meditech familiarity preferred Other Qualifications : Ability to work independently as a low-volume, solo outpatient provider; collaborate with APPs and affiliate physicians Provide outpatient hematology and oncology clinical care to adult patients Manage an average caseload of approximately 15 patients per clinic day Coordinate care with APP support and affiliate physicians at Hazard for specialty backup Document all patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records in Meditech Participate in standard clinical workflows for chemotherapy / infusion oversight and follow-up care Communicate with facility staff regarding coverage needs and patient care issues
