Environmental Engineer II Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer II to provide technical support and guidance for environmental projects and programs at assigned sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, preparing applications for air quality permit revisions and renewals, and evaluating environmental risk and developing programs for risk reduction.
Environmental Engineer II Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance for environmental projects and programs at assigned sites
- Prepare applications for air quality permit revisions and renewals
- Analyze environmental and emission data for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare submittals to regulatory agencies in compliance with permit requirements
- Evaluate and assess environmental risk and develop programs for risk reduction
- Collaborate with management to recommend appropriate action to ensure compliance with regulations
- Review and maintain detailed records and files of environmental data and communications
- Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment
- Maintain basic working knowledge of national, regional and local environmental, occupational health, and other applicable regulations
- Lead or participate in regular audits and inspections of operations areas
- Coordinate the timely recycling and disposition of materials and other company assets
Environmental Engineer II Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Agricultural, Mining, Metallurgical, Geological or similar)At least three (3) years environmental or related experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with environmental compliance and management systemsKnowledge of data analysis and validationEnvironmental Engineer II Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in Engineering in a related field and at least one (1) year environmental or related experienceExperience with Federal and Arizona air quality regulation and programsKnowledge of permitting needs for projects and process changesExperience communicating with and leading personnel from operational departmentsAdditional certification or licensure (US Examples include : HAZWOPER, Method 9, DOT, EMS Auditor, Asbestos, Water Treatment Operator, or CHMM.)LI-Onsite
