Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans targeting a person's specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Educate clients and their families to support progress beyond the session, reinforcing the therapy's impact.
  • Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a consistent care experience.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation that meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth through learning and collaboration with peers.

Education and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not yet certified by ASHA.
  • Certifications Required

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first month of employment.
