Welcome to the role of Chief Engineer ! As the leader of the engineering team, you will be responsible for the implementation, and maintenance of the mechanical systems in our hotel. You will be the main point of contact for all engineering and maintenance related issues and will be responsible for creating and managing a team of engineers to ensure that all systems are running safely and efficiently. You will be expected to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and ensure that all hotel safety codes and regulations are met. You will also be responsible for developing and managing the budget for the engineering department. If you have a passion for engineering and a drive to provide excellent customer service, then this is the perfect role for you!
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the engineering team to ensure that all maintenance activities and services are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all equipment and systems in the hotel.
- Monitor and oversee the maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ensure that all safety and health regulations are adhered to in the engineering department.
- Coordinate with vendors and outside contractors regarding the installation and repair of equipment and systems.
- Develop and maintain a budget for the engineering department.
- Inspect hotel premises on a regular basis to identify potential safety and maintenance issues.
- Oversee the installation of new equipment and systems.
- Manage inventory of engineering supplies and equipment.
- Ensure that all engineering staff are properly trained and certified.
- Monitor and troubleshoot any problems with the hotel systems and equipment.
- Respond to guest concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
