HiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist & Programmer in the Manufacturing industry in Lee’s Summit, MO!
Salary : $26.00 - $36.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift : 2nd Shift (3 : 00pm–11 : 30pm), Monday–Friday with overtime as needed
Location : Lee’s Summit, MO
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines (3, 4, and 5 Axis) to perform precision machining operations.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines.
Monitor machine feeds and speeds during machining to ensure accuracy.
Measure, examine, and test completed parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to verify conformance to specifications.
Document work performed through required paperwork and records.
Perform minor mechanical and assembly tasks as needed.
Share expertise and provide guidance to peers within the machine shop.
Maintain safety standards and protect machines from potential damage.
Follow all safety policies and procedures consistently.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum of 5 years of machining experience with advanced knowledge of machining operations and tolerances
Strong understanding of basic math and geometric tolerances
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and work instructions
Forklift and crane operation skills (with ability to safely operate equipment)
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred : 15+ years CNC machining experience, MasterCam knowledge, GD&T and CMM inspection methods
Preferred : Familiarity with SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement practices
