Overview

McKinley is looking for a Web Developer – Marketing Technology who will bridge the gap between front-end marketing needs and back-end technical implementation. You will own and enhance our marketing website infrastructure—built with React and Gatsby and deployed on Netlify—while integrating with analytics platforms, APIs, and emerging AI tools.

Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

  • Modify, update, and maintain our existing React / Gatsby-based website hosted on Netlify.
  • Build new components, pages, and features aligned with marketing campaign requirements.
  • Ensure site performance, SEO best practices, and accessibility compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs or deployment issues quickly.

Marketing Technology Integration

  • Integrate and manage web analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, VWO, or similar platforms.
  • Implement and maintain tracking for marketing campaigns, experiments, and conversion events.
  • Work with APIs to connect the website with CRM, property management systems, and marketing automation tools.
  • Ensure accurate data collection for attribution and reporting.

    • Collaboration & Strategy

  • Partner with marketing, design, and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to A / B testing and personalization initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement AI-powered solutions to enhance user experience, personalization, and lead tracking.
  • Participate in agile planning, stand-ups, and code reviews.

    • Required Skills & Experience

  • Front-End Development : Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, React, Gatsby, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Build & Deployment : Deploy and operate our site on modern hosting platforms (Netlify, Vercel, AWS) including CI / CD, previews, environment config, serverless / edge functions
  • API Integration : Comfortable working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Analytics : Solid understanding of Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and other marketing analytics tools.
  • Web Performance & SEO : Familiar with Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, and SEO best practices.
  • Problem Solving : Strong debugging skills across browser, network, and server layers.
  • Full Stack Bonus : Experience with Node.js, serverless functions, or cloud-based back-ends.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with A / B testing tools (VWO, Optimizely, PostHog, etc.).
  • Understanding of AI / ML applications for marketing (chatbots, personalization engines, content generation, etc.).
  • Experience in marketing technology, growth engineering, or similar hybrid marketing / engineering roles.
  • Knowledge of structured data (JSON-LD, schema.org) for SEO.

    • Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills—able to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, and engineering teams.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
