The Position:
We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Process Engineer to join our team. In a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment, this position's responsibilities include:
1) new product development,
2) support of capital equipment projects,
3) process troubleshooting,
4) continuous improvement. Reporting to the Material Development & Process Engineering Manager, this position's primary focus is ownership of Placon's extrusion process and material specifications.
Placon's Process Engineers are strong troubleshooters with the ability to observe, analyze and document to continuously improve our operations. They also partner with our operations teams to reduce variability and improve production efficiencies using data. Employees in this role interface with most departments from operations to sales and are expected to learn, create, innovate, and collaborate.
Qualifications:
Eligible to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship
Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering or similar degree
2+ years of experience in plastics processing required, 5+ years of experience in sheet extrusion desired
