Client Account Manager, Power Providers Central Region

The Opportunity As the Client Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 power utilities, IPP, and power developer accounts within the state of Texas, primarily focused on power clients in Houston.
- Grow relationships with Tier 3 and Tier 4 existing and new power accounts.
- Collaborate with BV offered solutions to solve client's challenges and needs.
- Engage Client Segment Director for more complex solutions and/or accounts.
- Set account strategies and guide proposal/project teams during pursuits.
- Be the voice of the client internally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagement activities from identification and opportunity creation to business capture
- Keep the Client Relationship Management tool updated and aligned with governance to ensure accurate tracking and management of client relationships.
- Account management (build & maintain client relationships; develop and follow sector-led key account plans)
- Generate and qualify sales and marketing leads
- Develop client strategy (segmentation, prioritization, identify key accounts, sales/Go-To-Market strategy)
- Co-develop marketing strategy in collaboration with Enterprise Strategy (thought leadership, industry experience, etc.)
- Accountable for overall client satisfaction and conducting client satisfaction surveys.
- Full responsibilities for this position will vary by Sector or Region.
- Ability to grasp the deal; including margins, risks, terms & conditions, etc.
- Responsible for targeting and researching new client acquisition and expanding existing client base.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and Black & Veatch internal stakeholders, aligning client expectations with resource availability, solution strategy, commercial requirements, and delivery capabilities while advocating for both client needs and Black & Veatch business objectives.
- Collaborate across Black & Veatch business segments (FNR, TIG, etc) to expand client engagement opportunities, support cross-selling of additional solutions and services, and provide client coverage to strengthen strategic account growth and market presence.
Management Responsibilities Individual Contributor Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree preferred, with technical or business focus. Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be accepted. Minimum Qualifications Typically 10 years of experience within the EPC industry, including 3-5 years in sales or project execution. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required. Experience developing, maintaining and executing strategic sales plans. History of successful pursuits with complex buying processes. Firm understanding of competition and differentiators. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly, and to convert technical or complex information and concepts into easily understandable content. Experience using Salesforce is preferred. B2B sales experience.
