Position Description

The Town of Marana is seeking a term-limited temporary Recreation Programmer to work in the Parks & Recreation department with a specialty in the areas of facility operations and recreation programming. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment. The individual selected for the term-limited temporary position will be eligible for benefits and will participate in the Arizona State Retirement System. The temporary position is expected to last until June 30, 2026 with the possibility of extension.

The Recreation Programmer is responsible for providing professional recreation programming and facility operations for the Town's Parks & Recreation department. The Recreation Programmer assists in planning, coordinating and delivering quality recreation programs, services, events and facilities. This position is critical to the efficient and effective delivery of recreation programs for the Town of Marana within the specialized areas of the Marana Aquatic and Recreation Center. The Recreation Programmer will directly be involved in supporting Town Strategic Plan initiatives relative to the pursuit of programs.

Pursuant to the Marana Town Code, Sections 3-1-2(D) and 3-1-3(B), and the current Salary Schedule implemented by the Town Manager, the position of Recreation Programmer (TLT) is defined as a temporary position. Temporary positions are at-will employees and employment that may be terminated upon the will of the employer or employee at any time with or without cause.

Expected Hiring Range : $20.65 - $25.30 per hour

• Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and / or budget
