Key Responsibilities : Assign CPT and ICD-10 Codes for outpatient Same Day Surgery services following coding guidelines Analyze and correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits during the coding process Maintain coding quality and productivity standards while participating in departmental meetings and educational events Required Qualifications : High School Diploma / GED or higher Current coding credentials from AHIMA or AAPC (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC) 2+ years of outpatient facility coding experience 2+ years of experience with Same Day Surgery Coding Intermediate proficiency with Windows, MS Excel, and EMR systems
