This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days onsite in Inglewood, CA required. You have the option to elect into a 9/80 flex work schedule after 6 months of employment. About Didi Hirsch

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services has been a national leader in whole-person mental health, crisis care, and substance use services since 1942 and is home to the nation's first Suicide Prevention Center. We are a nonprofit organization providing care to about 270,000 people annually across our programs. Didi Hirsch has deep roots in community-based mental health and a commitment to providing culturally responsive services that are just and equitable. Summary

As a Program Supervisor, you'll provide operational leadership that keeps your program running smoothly while empowering your team to deliver high-quality care. You'll oversee daily clinic operations, support staff development, foster member engagement, and collaborate with leadership and clinical teams to improve workflows, strengthen program performance, and drive positive member outcomes.

Primary Duties

  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight of assigned program and clinic activities to support efficient workflows, staff coordination, and quality service delivery.
  • Supervise and support the care team through coaching, guidance, accountability, and ongoing performance support.
  • Monitor outreach, engagement, enrollment, retention, and discharge activities to ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care.
  • Support clinic operations by coordinating staff coverage, workflow implementation, communication, and problem-solving to maintain effective daily operations.
  • Reinforce program policies, documentation standards, and workflow expectations to ensure compliance and operational consistency.
  • Monitor caseload distribution, productivity expectations, and staff capacity to support balanced workloads and reduce burnout.
  • Identify barriers impacting member engagement or service delivery and collaborate with leadership and clinical teams to develop solutions.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, case discussions, and group supervision to support communication, staff development, and alignment across the program.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing staff training, including use of internal training resources and workflow tools.
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, professional growth, and quality member care.
  • Provide consistent, on-site office coverage for a few days per week to support daily administrative operations, coordinate walk-in needs, and ensure team continuity.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, clinics, and community partners to support coordination of services and program operations.
  • Assist leadership with implementation of program initiatives, operational improvements, and workflow changes to support program growth and sustainability.
  • Lead and coordinate community outreach activities, engagement events, and health promotion initiatives to increase community awareness, member engagement, and access to services.
  • Oversees activities related to outreach, health education, resource navigation, and community-based support services.
  • Support development and distribution of culturally responsive health education materials and community resources that promote wellness, prevention, and member self-management.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, clinics, and local organizations to strengthen referral pathways and community engagement efforts.
  • Assists with additional Division-wide projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of two years in a supervisory role, with direct oversight of at least five reports.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current knowledge of all job specific skills including crisis intervention and multicultural and socio-economic issues, and documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of Agency policies and procedures, HIPAA, policies and documentation guidelines, and county, state and federal regulations relating to service programs for individuals and families with a history of mental illness and/or substance use.
  • Knowledgeable about and actively supports integrated mental health, physical health and substance use treatment for improving care for the whole person.
  • Basic advocacy skills include a holistic approach to integrated health care and case management.
  • Skills to present ideas, information, and viewpoints clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to efficiently use the personal computer to include Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record.
  • Ability to travel in the community and/or between agency sites to provide services in a variety of settings, including outpatient and field-based locations (home, school, etc.).
  • Ability to utilize data, outcomes, experience and judgment to make effective business and therapeutic decisions.
  • Current California driver's license, car insurance, and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
  • Depending on the program, may require lived experience which could include navigation of the mental health system and/or substance use treatment system as a consumer or a certificate as a Medical Assistant.
