Position Summary

Empower Services Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven Foundations Coordinator to support the administration, coordination, and event facilitation of the organization's four charitable foundations, which serve Empower's Home Health and Hospice brands across Texas and New Mexico. This part-time role provides administrative and logistical support across fundraising initiatives, board and committee coordination, grant and donation tracking, and community outreach events. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and comfortable managing multiple foundation priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of coordination across Empower's four affiliated foundations, ensuring consistent communication, scheduling, and follow-through on foundation activities.

• Plan and help facilitate foundation fundraising events, community outreach initiatives, and donor appreciation activities, including logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site support.

• Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and minutes for foundation board and committee touch-base meetings.

• Track donations, sponsorships, and grant activity for each foundation; maintain accurate and organized records.

• Support the development of foundation marketing and outreach materials in partnership with the Marketing team, maintaining consistent branding across all four foundations.

• Coordinate with internal departments (Marketing, Accounting, Operations, and Market Leadership) to align foundation activities with broader organizational initiatives.

• Maintain foundation calendars, deadlines, and event timelines; proactively flag scheduling conflicts or upcoming deliverables.

• Assist with donor and community correspondence, thank-you communications, and recognition materials.

• Compile post-event and quarterly summary reports on foundation activity, fundraising totals, and community impact.

• Support special projects as assigned, including media and press coordination for foundation-related community events.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

• 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit coordination, event planning, project management, or administrative support.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across several foundations at once.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort engaging donors, board members, and community partners.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with donor management or CRM tools a plus.

• Ability to work some evenings or weekends as needed for foundation events.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally within the Texas/New Mexico service area for events.

• Passion for the mission of hospice and home health care and community philanthropy.

Work Schedule & Compensation

This is a part-time, non-exempt position estimated at 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility required around foundation event dates. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during office work and events.

• Ability to lift and carry event materials and supplies up to 25 lbs.

• Ability to travel locally by car to event and meeting sites within the service area.

This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
