Descripción del trabajo

Program Manager, Technical Ecosystem Development

Advanced experience owning outcomes and decision making, solving ambiguous problems and influencing stakeholders; deep expertise in domain.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in program or project management. 8 years of experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems. Experience in negotiation, including resolving regulatory, land-use, or utility bottlenecks internationally.

Preferred qualifications: 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience navigating complex local political, regulatory, or geographic constraints in the US, EMEA, or APAC to deliver multi-billion-dollar infrastructure programs. Knowledge of GDC infrastructure systems (e.g., civil engineering, grid-scale power, or contractor housing logistics like contractor villages).

About the job: A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Strategic Partnerships Office (SPO) is responsible for architecting, launching, and scaling a dual-focus partnership engine spanning both manufacturing and community ecosystems. The SPO organization will operate at the intersection of industrial innovation, external affairs, and civic impact, creating bridges between Google's technology capabilities and the real-world partners that extend our reach and mission. In this role, you will operate under the ecosystem development pillar of SPO. Serving as a catalyst for market expansion, the ecosystem development team cultivates strategic alliances that amplify Alphabet's technology footprint. This pillar builds and nurtures comprehensive networks of developers, partners, and industry consortia, creating a growing environment where third-party innovations integrate seamlessly with Alphabet's core platforms. The team works to align cross-industry technical standards and unlock new commercial pathways, ensuring that scaling infrastructure is supported by a robust, interdependent market. By leveraging executive sponsorships to bridge gaps between emerging startups and established enterprises, this organization expands Alphabet's market influence and cements our technology as the foundational standard for the modern digital economy.

The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what's possible. We empower Google customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability and velocity. Our customers include Googlers, Google Cloud customers, and billions of Google users worldwide. We're the driving team behind Google's groundbreaking innovations, empowering the development of our AI models, delivering unparalleled computing power to global services, and providing the essential platforms that enable developers to build the future. From software to hardware our teams are shaping the future of world-leading hyperscale computing, with key teams working on the development of our TPUs, Vertex AI for Google Cloud, Google Global Networking, Data Center operations, systems research, and much more.

Responsibilities: Oversee technical risk strategies and due diligence across a complex regional portfolio of data center developments. Drive program execution that directly impacts fleet capacity Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and orchestrate infrastructure deployment projects. Intervene in highly critical escalations and lead high-stakes negotiations with external authorities, utility providers, and land developers. Identify systemic process breakdowns between acquisition, real estate, and construction. Identify blockers for data center construction and development, and lead cross-functional efforts to durably resolve issues.
