TEGNA is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our development team. A successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to design implement and maintain automated test solutions that ensure high-quality software delivery. This role will help advance our quality strategy by increasing automated test coverage improving CI / CD reliability and reducing reliance on manual testing.

This position will play a key role in defining automation standards frameworks and best practices across teams while continuously improving our overall quality processes.

Responsibilities :

• Design develop and maintain automated test frameworks for functional regression integration and performance testing.
• Create and execute automated test suites for web mobile and OTT applications.
• Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines and ensure reliable repeatable test execution.
• Analyze test failures identify root causes and partner with developers to resolve defects efficiently.
• Review requirements and technical designs to provide early feedback on testability and automation feasibility.
• Maintain and enhance existing test automation ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Establish automation best practices standards and documentation.
• Collaborate with manual QA developers DevOps and product teams to improve overall test coverage and release confidence.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new automation tools and technologies.
