The Director of Production will lead all aspects of manufacturing operations in a highly regulated medical device environment. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves role ideal for an operations leader passionate about process improvement, team development, and scaling best practices. You’ll be charged with building a permanent workforce, implementing efficient production processes, and driving a culture of accountability and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Change Management :
• Bring an open mind and a drive for improvement to transform existing production practices. Inspire, coach, and motivate a growing team—most of whom are transitioning from temp to full-time.
• Operations Oversight :
• Oversee daily manufacturing activities to ensure timely delivery, compliance, and top-quality output. Implement scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory control.
• Process Improvement :
• Lead best practice initiatives, standardize processes, and drive continuous improvement. Champion operational excellence through metrics, KPIs, and a culture of learning.
• Compliance & Quality :
• Maintain strict adherence to FDA, ISO, and other regulatory standards. Ensure proper documentation, device history records, and production protocols.
• People Management :
• Develop and mentor production staff. Conduct performance evaluations, set clear expectations, and foster a positive, high-performing culture. Be present and visible on the floor.
• Collaboration :
• Coordinate with HR, Supply Chain, and Finance. Report regularly on performance, risks, and wins.
