Maintenance Custodian

SUMMARY:

Provide a safe and clean living facility. For all locations as needed - Emergency after hours work as needed - Shift/schedule may change as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and disinfects restrooms, dormitories and common areas daily
• Maintain all floors by stripping, polishing and waxing periodically. Clean all carpets in the facility
• Painting and repairing around the facility
• Report needed repairs to supervisor
• Distribute housekeeping supplies and proper dilutions of supplies.
• Supervise the proper disposal of garbage

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in general maintenance and/or housekeeping.
• G.E.D or High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of computer, Outlook, MS Word, Excel preferred, and paper work as needed.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to be professional, flexible, respectful, and calm.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lead by example.
• Must have a Florida State Driver’s License with “safe driver” classification.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer Literate.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or English and Creole preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequently required to stand.
• Frequently required to walk.
• Frequently required to sit.
• Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
• Frequently required to, bend, stoop, or kneel.
• Continually required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds.
