BELFOR Franchise Group (BFG) is a leading network of franchise businesses specializing in providing a wide range of restoration and home services. We are looking for a creative and dynamic Video Content Developer to join our team. In this role, you will capture and produce video content to be used mostly on social media that showcases our brand, services, and franchisee success stories. You will be responsible for the entire video production process, from ideation through to final editing. Travel will be required to film BFG events, on-site services, and interviews with franchisees. This is an in office position in the Ann Arbor, MI location.

Job Summary :

As the Video Content Developer, you will play a pivotal role in creating compelling and engaging video content that highlights the expertise and impact of BELFOR Franchise Group. This position requires a highly skilled video creator with a passion for storytelling, excellent technical abilities, and a deep understanding of the entire video production process. You will travel to various locations to film BFG events, services in action, and conduct interviews with franchisees to capture authentic stories that resonate with our audience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ideation & Concept Development : Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop video content ideas that align with the brand's marketing goals, target audience, and messaging.
  • Scriptwriting & Storyboarding : Create detailed scripts, storyboards, and shot lists for each video project to ensure a cohesive narrative from beginning to end.
  • Filming : Travel to various BFG locations, franchisee businesses, and events to film high-quality video footage of services being performed, interviews with franchisees, customer testimonials, and other key moments.
  • The candidate must be comfortable on camera and willing to step in to represent BFG brands with a professional and engaging demeanor.
  • Sound & Audio : Record high-quality audio and manage sound overlays, including voiceovers, music, and ambient sound, ensuring clear and professional sound quality for each project.
  • Video Editing : Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos using industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). Add effects, transitions, titles, and overlays to enhance storytelling.
  • Branding & Visuals : Ensure all video content maintains consistency with BFG's branding and visual guidelines.
  • Post-Production : Handle the final stages of video production, including color correction, audio mixing, final export, and ensuring that all deliverables meet the company's standards for quality and accuracy.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with the marketing, design, and communications teams to ensure video content supports larger campaign strategies and objectives.
  • Project Management : Manage video production timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Content Distribution : Assist in the preparation and optimization of video content for distribution on various platforms such as social media, websites, YouTube, and internal communications.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in video production, including shooting, editing, and post-production.
  • Proven ability to create professional-grade videos from start to finish (ideation, filming, editing, sound overlay, final delivery).
  • Expertise in using video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Strong knowledge of camera equipment, lighting setups, and sound recording techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple video projects simultaneously.
  • Strong storytelling skills with an ability to capture emotional and compelling content.
  • The candidate must be comfortable on camera and willing to step in to represent BFG brands with a professional and engaging demeanor.
  • Ability to travel frequently to shoot on-location at BFG events, franchisee businesses, and other locations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people, including franchisees and business owners.
  • Comfortable conducting interviews and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A creative, self-motivated individual who takes ownership of projects and produces high-quality work.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with motion graphics and animation (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Familiarity with social media video optimization (e.g., aspect ratios, video lengths, captions).
  • Experience in the restoration or service industry is a plus.
  • Experience in creating branded content for businesses or franchises.
