About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Sales / Origination for its Renewables team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and advancing a pipeline of renewable energy and emerging technology investment leads. This role involves being the first point of contact for prospective clients, cultivating relationships with renewable energy property owners, and employing a consultative approach to build a robust sales pipeline. The VP will also be tasked with meeting personal origination targets, monitoring sales pipeline activity, and contributing to strategic initiatives and product design to maintain a competitive market position. Candidates for the VP of Sales / Origination position should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in B2C sales, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in this area. The role requires a natural sales talent, strong business acumen, and exceptional negotiation skills. Experience in originating or developing within renewables, commercial real estate, mortgages, telecom, land acquisition, or mineral rights acquisition is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a high level of ethical, intellectual, professional, and personal values, and will demonstrate an entrepreneurial and collaborative team spirit, exceptional communication, and the ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with the real estate closing process and finance concepts such as IRR and NPV is also advantageous.
