Activity Therapist - PRN

Position Summary

Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team by providing therapeutic activity services to adult and adolescent patients under the hospital’s care for emotional or substance abuse problems.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (. recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy) preferred. Certification or registration preferred.

Experience: One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification: CPI/CPR certification required.

Other: Assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills; knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment; flexibility; time management and organization skills; teaching or training skills helpful; understanding of, or ability to understand DSM-5 methodology; able to meet deadlines.
