As a Security Officer - Shelter Patrol in South Ozone Park, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure and welcoming atmosphere at a shelter location. Your primary responsibilities include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to residents, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas within the shelter to help to deter unauthorized access and support a welcoming atmosphere.Document and report observations, incidents, and any unusual circumstances according to established procedures.Collaborate with shelter staff and residents to address concerns and maintain a positive environment.Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while on duty, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.What We're Looking For :
