Patient Care Technician

Position Summary : As a Patient Care Technician, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and support unit operations. This role includes hands-on patient care, technical responsibilities such as phlebotomy and EKGs, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications : This is a career ladder position the hiring level is determined based on your experience and qualifications.
Level I
Preferred : Completion of Patient Care Technician training or CNA certification.
Level II
Required : At least 1 year of patient care experience in any healthcare setting.
Level III
Required : High school diploma or GED. Required : Three or more years of patient care experience, and one year as a Level II PCT at Baystate Health. Preferred : CNA certification.
Level IV
Required : High school diploma or GED. Required : Four or more years of experience in an acute or specialty care setting, and one year as a Level III PCT at Baystate Health. Preferred : CNA certification.

Compensation and Benefits : Baystate Health offers competitive total compensation, including base pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and recognition programs. Compensation is determined based on a range of factors including skills, experience, certifications, and internal equity. This base pay range does not include incentive pay or benefits.
