About the Role :

The Plant Procurement Manager is a senior procurement leader responsible for managing and developing Tate’s plant buyer team across all U.S. sites. This role provides direct oversight of local purchasing activities, ensuring that strategic sourcing category strategies are executed consistently at the plant level.

Acting as the link between plant buyers and Strategic Sourcing Managers, the Plant Buyer Manager will drive compliance, supplier performance, and process standardization across Tate’s manufacturing network. Success in this role requires strong leadership, deep procurement expertise, and close collaboration with both procurement leadership and plant operations teams.

What You’ll Do :

• Leadership & Development – Manage, mentor, and develop plant buyers to strengthen performance, consistency, and career growth.
• Category Strategy Execution – Align local procurement with global sourcing strategies and ensure compliance.
• Supplier Performance – Oversee supplier relationships at the plant level, addressing delivery, quality, and service issues, with escalation to Strategic Sourcing Managers when necessary.
• Compliance & Governance – Enforce adherence to contracts, procurement policies, and category standards.
• ERP & Process Management – Ensure PO accuracy, maintain ERP data integrity, and drive improvements in system utilization.
• Process Standardization – Implement consistent procurement practices, tools, and reporting across all plants.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with operations, production planning, and finance to align procurement activities with operational requirements.
• Performance Tracking – Monitor and report on buyer productivity, supplier performance, and compliance metrics.
