Manager Inside Sales - Life & Retirement
Horace Mann Insurance is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Inside Sales Manager to lead and grow our Life & Retirement Sales Center Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to make an immediate impact in a rapidly expanding area of our business. We're looking for a proven leader with strong inside sales expertise, strategic insight, and the ability to coach and motivate teams to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Performance
- Oversee day-to-day management of Inside Sales and Sales Center Operations, ensuring sales targets and KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Drive revenue growth by optimizing performance across lead generation, quoting, and policy sales.
- Monitor sales metrics and dashboards to ensure accountability to established sales plans.
- Coaching & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop inside sales representatives to strengthen selling skills, objection handling, and consultative sales approaches.
- Foster a high-performance, competitive, and supportive culture.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent to support continued business growth.
- Operational Excellence
- Direct all functions related to lead management, quoting, and policy binding within the Sales Center.
- Partner with Marketing, IT, and other business units to improve processes, optimize lead flow, and enhance the sales experience.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Customer Experience & Escalation
- Ensure every customer interaction is handled professionally and efficiently, creating a positive impression and driving loyalty.
- Resolve escalated customer issues effectively while coaching teams to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
2+ years of management experience, with at least 2+ years leading an inside sales or sales center team.HS Diploma required or Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (preferred).Life & Health License RequiredProven ability to achieve and exceed sales goals through effective coaching and performance management.Strong knowledge of inside sales processes, KPIs, and data-driven decision making.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work flexible hours to support Sales Center Operations.Salary Range : $71,500.00 - $105,400.00 / annually plus incentive
