Location : North America, United States, New Jersey, Summit

Work Location : Fully Remote

What you will do :

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented North America Benefits Solutions Manager to join our Total Rewards team. This role will be responsible for the administration, analysis, and compliance of Health & Welfare, Retirement, and Leave of Absence programs across Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in regional benefits regulations, vendor management, and employee support, with a strong focus on data integrity and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Health & Welfare (H&W) :

  • Administer and support H&W plans including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate enrollment, billing, and eligibility.
  • Monitor compliance with ACA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations in the U.S., and equivalent standards in Canada and Puerto Rico.
  • Assist in annual renewals, open enrollment, and employee communications.

Retirement Plans :

  • Support administration of defined contribution and defined benefit plans (e.g., 401(k), DCPP, NREG, TFSA).
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, CRA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with several internal partners such as payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate contributions and reporting.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and support retirement education initiatives.
  • Manage the annual ERISA form 5500 and financial audit for both US and Puerto Rico.
  • Manage and supply data to our strategy partners
  • Manage and submit all regulatory forms for the Canadian retirement plan and products.
  • Leaves of Absence :

  • Administer leave programs including FMLA, STD, LTD, parental, and other statutory leaves in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state / provincial, and local leave laws.
  • Coordinate with HR, payroll, and third-party administrators to manage leave cases.
  • Maintain accurate leave records and support return-to-work processes.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in benefits administration, with multi-country scope (Canada, U.S., Puerto Rico).
  • Strong knowledge of regional benefits laws and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) and benefits platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in vendor management, audits, benefits implementation, and budgeting for multiple regions.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • CEBS or other benefits-related certification.
  • Experience with M&A or benefits harmonization projects.
  • Familiarity with wellness initiatives, voluntary benefits, and employee pensions.
  • What's in it for you :

    Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges : $124,100.00 - $175,200.00. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
