Job Description

Starting Rate : $22 per hour

Benefits : Excellent benefits package, including PTO and 7 paid holidays. Eligible for healthcare (single and family) first of the month following date of hire. 401(k) plan with employer match available. Employer paid Life Insurance, Short Term and Long-Term Disability. Paid Parental Leave after six months. Other Compensation : Eligible for overtime, holiday premium pay, and premiums based on shift and environmental conditions. Also, eligible for incentive pay based on individual performance.

Position Summary :

This role is responsible to complete orders by selecting products from the warehouse racks and to assemble, palletize and / or shrink wrap products / pallets for customer orders. An Order Selector may be required to use a variety of powered industrial equipment and may be required to work in dry or cooled product areas including refrigerated and freezer compartments.

What You'll Do :

• Locate and lift cases, boxes, bags, and / or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, produce, poultry, fish, beef, pork and related products in specific quantities for delivery to customers by using order sheets or an audio headset.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (e.g. single and double pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including conducting inspections of powered industrial equipment using a safety checklist.
• Report damaged products, quality issues, and out-of-stock / low volume products.
• Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product to prevent damages.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

While performing the duties of this position, employees are subject to a warehouse environment and may frequently be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity based on assignment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, days and night hours, and overtime as necessary and as assigned, and must be able to work in the condition specified for 8-10 hours shift as assigned. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
