Assignment details

  • Hours : 40 hours a week
  • Start date : 9 / 2 / 2025
  • End date : 12 / 2 / 2025 (3-month contract)
  • Hourly rate : $43
  • Location : NY, LA, or Remote - US

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of assigned design projects and follow established processes to ensure smooth delivery of creative assets.
  • Work alongside the Senior Creative Director to elevate and maintain brand’s overall look and feel, and ensure execution across teams is on brand.
  • Lead the creation of thoughtfully designed digital editorial content and graphic templates that seamlessly integrate with the site.
  • Collaborate with product design, commerce, and growth teams.
  • Help maintain digital brand guides.

    • Role focus

  • 60% — Design

    • Use requirements and stakeholder feedback to design premium visual assets, such as digital editorial designs and content templates, on an ongoing basis.

  • 20% — Collaboration with Editorial, Product, UX teams

    • Present design solutions and build consensus among a broad range of stakeholders.

  • Help build and maintain a happy and creative culture within the design team.
  • Participate in brainstorming and critique sessions that foster big picture thinking while identifying opportunities to raise the bar on the details.
  • 20% — Process Management

    • Keep project management tickets up to date, communicate progress, keep files organized, monitor communication from stakeholders, and meet deadlines.

    Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and experience
  • 5-7 years as a designer
  • Strong typography skills
  • Strong editorial design skills
  • Strong design system skills
  • Strong Figma skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient motion graphics skills
  • Publishing industry experience
  • Branding experience
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A team player ready to work in a fast-paced environment
