Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Stepdown Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Travel AUTO OFFER Position : Neuro Surgical RN Shift : DAYS 7 NIGHTS AVAILABLE Location : Evansville, IN (Candidates must live 40 miles from the facility — no locals) Contract Details Contract Length : 13 weeks Start Dates : 11 / 3 or 11 / 17 (bi-weekly orientation) Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week (48-hour option available upon request) Schedule : No blocked scheduling requests allowed Weekend & Holiday Rotation Weekends : 3 weekends per 6-week schedule Holidays : Every other holiday Certifications (Must be Attached at Submission) Active Compact RN License BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Experience Requirements Minimum : 2 years of strong Neuro experience 1 completed travel assignment Trauma Level II experience required Charting : Recent EPIC experience required (must pass checkoff class) Patient Population & Skills Patients : Neuro and Neuro-Surgical (CVAs, elective back / neck surgeries, post-op craniotomies, cerebral angiograms, general med / psych mix) Required Skills : NIHSS & dysphagia screening Strong neuro assessments & basic tele interpretation Accurate I&O documentation Catheterization (straight / Foley) Initiate / titrate heparin drips Blood & blood product administration Venipuncture & blood cultures NG tube and indwelling drain management Manage stable drips (e.g., Protonix, Lasix) Must pass Basic Dysrhythmia Exam Unit Details Unit Type : Neuro Surgical Beds : 37 Ratios : Days : 1 : 5–6 Nights : 1 : 5–7 CN carries partial assignment Support : Strong leadership; manager with tenure since 2012, leading since 2020 Culture : Supportive and welcoming team; ideal for hardworking, adaptable, and social travelers About Trustaff Our nurse-first attitude has set us apart from other travel nursing agencies When you join the Trustaff family, you’re more than just a body filling a role—you're a vibrant individual with dreams and aspirations.
