This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of data systems in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Accountabilities

  • Architect and develop scalable data pipelines and lakehouse patterns capable of processing ~1 TB / day of streaming and batch data.
  • Design and maintain modern data warehouses and schemas to power analytics, reporting, and automation workflows.
  • Implement and enhance data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks to ensure transparency and consistency across all data assets.
  • Optimize performance and costs across AWS environments, including S3, Glue, and Databricks.
  • Automate infrastructure deployments through Terraform and GitHub Actions, ensuring reliability and repeatability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility, traceability, and self-service analytics.
  • Establish best practices for data modeling, ETL / ELT processes, and reverse ETL workflows.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to defining the long-term vision for the data platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in architecting large-scale data platforms within AWS.
  • Strong hands-on experience with S3, Glue, Databricks, Postgres / MSSQL, and streaming data systems.
  • Proven skills in data modeling, performance optimization, and warehouse design for analytical use cases.
  • Solid experience with data governance, lineage, and quality assurance frameworks (preferably using dbt or similar tools).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CI / CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
  • Experience mentoring team members and influencing architectural decisions in a growing data organization.
  • Bonus points for familiarity with OpenMetadata, DataHub, or Collibra; exposure to reverse ETL and marketing automation platforms; and AWS or Databricks certifications.
  • Benefits

  • 💰 Competitive compensation package.
  • 🏥 Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 💼 401(k) plan with employer match.
  • 💳 Healthcare and dependent-care flexible spending accounts.
  • 💪 Company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • 🚀 Career growth opportunities in a culture that values learning and development.
  • 🌱 Supportive management committed to your professional growth and advancement.
  • 🎉 Recognition programs and a people-first company culture that celebrates success.
