WSDOT is currently seeking an Accounting & Reporting Assistant Manager to join our Accounting and Financial Services Division (AFS). AFS plays a vital role in delivering statewide financial services for the Washington State Department of Transportation, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and accounting standards. AFS promotes a culture of excellence with our number 1 core process focusing on employee growth, promotion, and retention. As the Accounting and Reporting Assistant Manager, the successful candidate will oversee fund and general ledger accounting, assist with fiscal year / biennium closing activities, maintain the agency's chart of accounts, and act as a backup to the Internal Control Manager in coordinating the agency's Internal Control Program. Your expertise will help maintain financial integrity, monitor internal controls, and assist with developing accounting policies as we implement new accounting systems. You will be part of leading an energetic and dynamic team through fostering a collaborative environment and inclusive culture.
