Medtech R&D Expert

We are Accenture Tech Consulting. You are a MedTech R&D expert with an in-depth understanding of how business, technology, and operations intersect, and you've spent years using that know-how to help clients transform their business performance. You know how to design, build, and deploy solutions that help clients get the right therapies to patients faster. You get quiet a satisfaction from using your analytical talents to solve problems in new and creative ways. You never have problems explaining those ideas, thanks to strong communication and interpersonal skills. Your experience means that you've got innovative answers when people come to you with problems. You collaborate and are creative in inspiring teams to turn in quality work on time, every time. You have interest and expertise in the clinical development process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Help Med Tech clients, and other organizations in the broader healthcare ecosystem, get products to patients faster
  • Head up teams designing and deploying solutions focusing on the end-to-end R&D lifecycle
  • Advise clients on how they can use the next generation of digital capabilities to become data-driven, AI-enabled organizations
  • Build relationships with senior clients that help Accenture become a trusted partner
  • Provide subject matter expertise in R&D technologies such as EDC, CDMS, RIM, Safety DB, PLM, QMS, etc.
  • Typical projects consist of a definition of an R&D IT roadmap, assessment of the current technology footprint, and / or design and implementation of R&D systems to achieve a desired future state
  • Drive business development efforts and help build the Accenture Consulting practice
  • Develop Accenture's thought leadership and technical expertise in MedTech R&D

Travel - candidate should be willing to travel up to 75% to client locations.

Here's What You Need :

  • Minimum of 7 years of Consulting experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in the MedTech R&D industry with specific MedTech segment-level expertise (e.g. cardiovascular, general surgery, diabetes, diagnostics, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bonus Points if you have :
  • A Bachelor's degree in Science or Health Engineering
  • A deep understanding of MedTech R&D and product life cycle processes and technologies
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the Life Sciences MedTech R&D industry in at least one of the following areas : product design, product, and clinical development / operations, pharmacovigilance, regulatory, medical affairs, patient services, MD&D (medical device and diagnostics) or related areas (CROs), health institutions, health technology companies, etc.
  • You've worked in a top tier consulting firm with a strong emphasis on management consulting
  • You have a network of existing clients in the Life Sciences field
  • You've got deep strategic consulting experience including solving big issues on time and on budget
  • You're excellent at attracting clients and brokering deals
  • Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

  • Cleveland $122,700 to $270,600
  • Colorado $132,500 to $292,200
  • District of Columbia $141,100 to $311,200
  • Illinois $122,700 to $292,200
  • Maryland $132,500 to $292,200
  • Massachusetts $132,500 to $311,200
  • Minnesota $132,500 to $292,200
  • New York / New Jersey $122,700 to $338,300
  • Washington $141,100 to $311,200
