Maintenance Repairer 2
Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking a Maintenance Repairer 2. The incumbent of this position is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all of NEDHSA's State Owned facilities located throughout Region 8 as well as various leased buildings and is also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of 13 State Owned Vehicles and 1 Medical Mobile Unit. Incumbent shares duties with one other Maintenance Repairer.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
- Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR
- Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.
Job Duties :
Performs work orders consisting of general building maintenance, changing light bulbs, minor electrical repairs, repairing drywall, painting, hanging doors, adjusting locks and door hardware, fixing or replacing broken windows and screens, hanging pictures, minor plumbing repairs, unplugging drains, replacing leaky washers, re-lighting, maintaining smoke detectors and emergency lights, grounds maintenance / irrigation as needed.Maintains lawn mower by changing oil, belts, etc. and performs minor repairs to mower and other power tools.Repairs small equipment as necessary, orders supplies, tools, and parts as necessary, and monitors work of outside contractors as directed.Inspects and maintains state vehicles as well as performing safety inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles to maximize the safety, productivity, and life.Inspects building regularly for safety hazards including monitoring the asbestos plan, inspects and services air conditioning unit, hot water heater, and inspects and cleans roof drains.May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency / disaster support activities.Position-Specific Details :
Appointment Type : Probational, Promotional, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, or Detail to Special DutyCompensation : NEDHSA is a designated approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans.2-year Full-Time Clinical Practice : NHSC will pay up to $50,000for an initial 2 years of full-time clinical practice to clinicians. (Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)How To Apply :
