Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technician II

Role Overview :

As a Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technician II, you will utilize your expertise to perform a variety of diagnostic tasks focused on the care of patients with cardiovascular issues. Your responsibilities will include conducting ultrasound imaging, patient preparation, post-procedure care, room setup, technical reporting, and quality monitoring.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver excellent pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including assessment and emergency cardiac support (CPR certification required).
• Ensure all imaging equipment is calibrated, maintained, and operational, performing routine quality assurance checks and troubleshooting any issues.
• Generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures; perform advanced studies for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Provide training and support to junior Cardiovascular Sonographers, serving as a subject matter expert.
• Monitor patient information and maintain accurate reports and data systems, including charge entry data and report retrieval.
• Prepare and maintain the procedure room and equipment efficiently to facilitate timely patient care.

Qualifications :

Educational Background : Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or related field required within 3 months of hire, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program.

Licensure / Certification : Must be registered by ARDMS or CCI, or be registry eligible and achieve registration within one year of hire. Continuing education and maintenance of registry status are required.

Experience : A minimum of one year of experience in an acute hospital setting is necessary.
