Medical Lab Scientist-Associate (Core Lab, Night Shift) at UT Health San Antonio

Responsibilities

• Performs routine laboratory procedures recognizing deviation from expected results.
• Analyzes and corrects problems with the assistance of more senior personnel.
• Performs Quality Control and calibrations on instruments.
• Performs weekly preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Accessions samples for in-house testing and referral laboratory testing.
• Secures media and supplies for clinical testing or research studies and manages supply requests.
• Assists in the review and revision of laboratory policies and procedures and in the preparation for laboratory inspections by various regulatory / accrediting agencies.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
