Position Overview

The Senior Associate, Renewable Procurement will be responsible for supporting commercial strategy and supporting commercial negotiations for electrical substation and power generation equipment in support of Invenergy's development, engineering, and construction activities. Procurement activities will support wind, solar, thermal, and energy storage projects. This role reports to the Senior Director of Renewable Procurement.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Support and advance commercial negotiations for power generation equipment supply contracts (e.g. high voltage breakers, electrical transformers, electrical switchgear, and energy storage equipment). Ensure that terms and conditions are in line with market expectations and align with all applicable project agreements including construction agreements and project sale agreements.
• Manage equipment supply contracts post-execution. Ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled on time and documented ahead of hand-off to the Project Manager.
• Maintain existing commercial relationships with key equipment suppliers and endeavor to evaluate, establish, and cultivate new relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Collaborate with the technical procurement, engineering, construction, and operations teams to analyze procurement options and to assist in making equipment supply recommendations that best position Invenergy's pipeline of renewable energy projects.
• Support the management and deployment of equipment held in inventory. Support maintaining compliance with the storage & maintenance covenants for equipment supply loans. Maintain relationship with logistics service providers for the loading & transportation of equipment from central warehouses / storage facilities to projects under construction.
• Maintain internal pricing database based on continuous market research and continuous development of market knowledge and pricing trends. Collaborate with the estimating team to support internal project pricing efforts.
• Assist in the preparation and management of Request for Proposal packages as well as evaluation of all equipment supply bids.

Base Pay

$100,000 - $120,000 USD Annual 20% - 30% Bonus

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
