RRD is seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team this Summer in Warrenville IL!

  • THIS POSITION IS HYBRID

Job Summary

The specific goal of the internship would be to optimize long running SQL statements and index reports to delete / modify indexes.

Responsibilities

  • The intern would review the execution plans for all STORED PROCEDURES for optimization making recommendations for improvement then coding testing and implementing approved recommendations.
  • The intern would identify updates needed to User ID logging fields coding testing and implementing those changes.
  • The intern will analyze existing DB tables / queries then alter test and implement improvements will be key.

    • Qualifications :

  • The intern candidate should be a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • The Candidate should have knowledge of relational database concepts experience with Microsoft SQL Server specifically Database Design and Performance Tuning is a plus.
  • Candidate should have exposure to all phases of software development life cycle.
  • Strong communication and team skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
  • Positive attitude and outstanding customer service orientation.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Additional Information :

    The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $24.00 / addition to base pay depending on the role the total compensation package may also include overtime shift differential call-in and stand-by pay.
