Environmental Services Tech Housekeeping

Job Title

This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. Essential functions include cleaning and disinfecting assigned areas using department cleaning procedures, using cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards, understanding procedures and properly disposing of infectious waste and trash, handling and cleaning up emergency spills per department guideline, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards, and following all infection prevention practices. Maintains work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety.

Shift details include Friday through Monday, 3 : 00pm - 11 : 30pm, 32 hours per week with full-time benefits.

Skills required include cleaning, using chemicals properly, reading labels, communication, ability to work independently, and working safely.

Qualifications include demonstrated communication skills to include differentiating color-coded labels and / or chemicals as well as following written and / or verbal directions, ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department, and demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred).

Physical requirements include ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, and monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs; frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately; manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy; expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment; will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Location : Primary Children's at Lehi, Work City : Lehi, Work State : Utah, Scheduled Weekly Hours : 32. The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $17.25 - $22.43.
