GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES :

Under the clinical direction of the designated Clinical Supervisor and the administrative direction of the Program Supervisor, responsible for performing functional behavior assessments, developing behavioral interventions, training staff and families to implement the interventions, and ongoing monitoring, training, and adjustment to the intervention based on treatment integrity and client response to treatment. The BCBA will primarily work in a consultative relationship with direct care or technician staff for adults with developmental disabilities who may have significant challenging behavior, but may be assigned to other appropriate adult or child clinical cases for the provision of behavioral support services. The individual functions as a consultant and as part of an inter-disciplinary team and services are delivered in the home and community primarily, or in a day program / center as appropriate. The BCBA will have responsibility for direct oversight of behavioral interventions implemented by direct care or technician staff, which may include observation and consultation during second and third shift as needed to appropriately support the consumer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) AND licensed in the state of Michigan as a Behavior Analyst, AND one (1) year clinical experience with children having an autism spectrum disorder.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

Must have a valid driver’s license, current insurance, and use of a vehicle during working hours.

Ability to physically perform the tasks.

Essential Physical Demands :

  • Vision – Position requires the ability to visually assess details at both near and far distances, as well as to perceive depth and spatial relationships with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Hearing – Position requires the ability to receive and respond to verbal communication with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Lifting, Standing, and Walking With or Without Reasonable Accommodations :

Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis

  • Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
  • Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
  • Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Position must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, including the use of hands and fingers for handling, grasping, typing, writing, or operating equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • PREFERENCES :

    Master’s in Psychology and Michigan Limited License Psychologist (LLP) credential, or Master’s in Social Work and Michigan Master’s Level Social Worker (LMSW) credential, Clinical or a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis.

    Familiarity in the administration of the ADOS-2, ADI-R, SCQ, MCHAT, ABLLS-R, V-MAPP.
